ولا خطوةُ الدّربِ تفضي إلى الدّربِ،
لا الدَّربُ،
لا عتبةُ البابِ،
لا درجُ البيتِ،
لا البيتُ، لا رقمُ الهاتفِ،
أو وجعُ الانتظارْ.
كلُّ شيءٍ كأن لا يكونْ:
السّماءُ التي أَسْقَطتني؛
السّماءُ التي سَقَطَتْ من يَديَّ..
لا المرأةُ/ الحلمُ،
لا قبلةُ الجمرِ،
لا الخمرُ،
لا الجسدُ، السّريرُ، الأَريكةُ،
لا صرخةٌ في الجدارْ.

وجهكِ الذاكرةْ.

Mohammed J. Al-Nabhan
was born in Sulaibkhat, Kuwait on April 10, 1971. After highschool, he
worked as a calligrapher and graphic artist from 1989 to 1995. After he
migrated to Canada, he made advanced studies of Graphic Design and web
pages.
In 2000, he, along with Karim Al-Hazzaa and his brother Saleh Al-Nabhan, founded an electronic magazine. He is the editor of the magazine Ofouq since then, too. In 2005, he founded along with Arab, American and Canadian writers the Cultural Foundation Jozoor, a cultural independent non-profit organization interested in Arabian exil literature. Al-Nabhan’s poems have been translated into Spanish and English. He has also translated many poets from English into Arab.
